PASSIONATE ABOUT SUPPORTING YOUR HEALTH
Hi, I’m Rachel!
I’m a registered acupuncturist and integrative health coach.Â
I’m also a women’s functional and integrative medicine practitioner, kinesiologist, yoga teacher, clinical exercise physiologist, and clinic and business owner.Â
I co-founded Glow Integrative Clinic to offer an integrative approach to supporting women’s health across the lifespan.
INSPIRE, EDUCATE, EMPOWER
My mission is to inspire, educate, and empower you to feel knowledgeable about your health.
I help you to not only feel better, but to live your most healthy life by supporting your physical, mental-emotional, spiritual, environmental, and social health.
Growing up as a ballet dancer plagued by injuries, I was fascinated with how the human body works and studied anatomy textbooks to feed my hunger for knowledge.Â
My injuries led me to a life-changing encounter with an acupuncturist who sparked my curiosity about the human body’s ability to heal itself.
When a serious car accident forced me to let go of my dream of dancing professionally, I began to pursue a different purpose. It was a clear transition for me to work toward helping people understand their bodies and their health.Â
I studied exercise science and health psychology in university. I wanted to understand, and support others to understand, how and why people make changes to heal.Â
But when I began working in the field, I saw gaps in supporting people’s health in a complete way. There were missing pieces and exercise alone wasn’t enough.
I was still fascinated by acupuncture since starting as a patient in adolescence. I realized this was the way to fill in the missing pieces and help people transform their health.Â
As a passionate lifelong learner, I have earned a unique set of credentials:
- Bachelor of Kinesiology from the University of Calgary in 2007
- Master of Arts in Kinesiology and Health Psychology from University of Victoria in 2009
- Diploma in Acupuncture at Pacific Rim College in 2014
- Women’s Functional & Integrative Medicine Professional Training Program in 2023
I also completed advanced training in women’s integrative medicine, cosmetic acupuncture, sports and orthopedic acupuncture, and acupuncture for the management of cancer-related symptoms.
I’ve studied and practiced for years to build a robust toolkit of knowledge and skills that set me apart from other healthcare practitioners. I bring a unique blend of modalities and expertise to my practice and every person I support.
My vision is to contribute to a world where preventative and lifestyle medicine is the standard of care. We have a long way to go, but we are paving the way, step by step.

CO-CREATING A WHOLE PERSON PLAN
I support people to feel their best and to create a stronger understanding of their health by practicing with a comprehensive and individualized approach.Â
A comprehensive, or whole person, approach to your health recognizes that there is so much connection within us. The symptoms you may experience, like digestive issues or headaches for example, exist within a bigger picture of you as a person, including your mind, body, and environment.
With different goals, values, history, concerns, genetics, and lifestyles, a one-size-fits-all approach doesn’t work. Each person is an individual with unique challenges and goals for their health, so an individualized approach is critical to success.
To see the whole picture of your health, I zoom out and look at you as a whole person, so I can help you connect the dots and help you determine what’s going on.Â
Together, we’ll make plans for lasting changes rather than just quick relief of symptoms. This includes an individualized treatment plan, considerations for lifestyle shifts, practices to support your nervous system, and more. This approach creates awareness to cultivate lasting changes.
When we work together, I’ll help you create a personalized path forward to living the life you want.Â
I feel incredibly lucky to spend my days supporting people to achieve their health goals. I’ve seen firsthand the incredible transformations that can happen with an increased awareness of health combined with personalized recommendations.

MY PASSIONS
When I’m not helping people feel more at ease in their bodies, you can find me playing with my puppy, walking on the beach, and growing dahlias in my garden.Â
I’m a constant learner and always seeking to grow personally and professionally.
A few of my favourite things are starting kitchen dance parties, watching Grey’s Anatomy, and drinking smoothies laced with coffee.Â
I love living on Vancouver Island but my favourite place on earth is Osoyoos, BC. The feeling of summer in a lakeside small town brings me so much joy.
And of course, I love supporting women to understand their bodies.
I can’t wait to support you on your path to radiant health.
